| The Amanayé
tongue belongs to the Tupi-Guarani family. It was classified
by linguist Aryon Rodrigues along with the Anambé
and Turiwara languages, spoken by groups that live in
the same region (1984). It is not known if the Amanayé
continue to use their mother tongue. |
