| The total population
of the Galibi in the village of São José
is 28 people. Many live outside the village, in various
cities of Amapá, Belém and Brasília.
In the village, two couples do not have children and even
the schoolteacher, a young man from Vigia, Pará,
who is married to a Galibi woman with whom he has five
children, will be obliged to move from the area on the
day that there are no more students from first to fourth
grade. |
