Between June 7th and 11th, during the Corpus Christi holiday, the capital of São Paulo will host the second edition of Book Fair. With its own stand, Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) will show more than 30 titles to the public, including its own editions and co-editions; Circles of conversation; and film screenings in virtual reality.
Organized by Associação Quatro Cinco Um and Maré Produções, the Fair seeks to bring literary audiences of all ages to the urban space to promote and enjoy the cultural richness and bibliodiversity that characterize the country. The event will be held at Charles Miller Square, in front of Pacaembu Stadium, with free admission.
On the first day (07/06), at 19 pm, on the Palco da Praça, the launch of the book The Spirit of the Forest, by Yanomami leader Davi Kopenawa in collaboration with Bruce Albert. British journalist Tom Phillips, anthropologist Hanna Limulja and musician and journalist Xavier Bartaburu participate in the table.
On Friday (09/06), ISA shows the public the films in virtual reality forest fire, which takes you into the daily life of a village of the Waurá people, in the Xingu Indigenous Territory, and Forest Makers, which presents the work of the Xingu Seed Network, an initiative that brings together knowledge and native seeds to recover degraded areas in the basins of the Xingu and Araguaia rivers, in Mato Grosso. The films are directed by Tadeu Jungle.
On that day, conversations with the quilombola thinker Antônio Bispo and the American feminist intellectual Patricia Hill Collins are also part of the event's programming.
On Saturday (10/06), at 15 pm, the ISA stand brings together the book's editors Indigenous Peoples in Brazil 2017-2022, the publication that for more than 40 years has included complete information about the indigenous peoples that live in the Brazilian territory, to discuss the backstage of the edition and bring a little of the contemporary history of the indigenous peoples of the Country, highlighting the challenges and threats faced in the period covered by the material.

In honor of the 27th LGBT+ Pride Parade in São Paulo, the Book Fair will also have, at 17 pm, a conversation on the Praça da Praça with the French author Fatima Daas and the author and journalist Diogo Bercito about LGBTQIA+ literature and identities.
To close the event, on Sunday (11/06), the last table of the day, at 19 pm, will remember one of the most important moments of the last edition of the Book Fair: the photo A Great Day in São Paulo, which originated a book organized by the writers Esmeralda Ribeiro, Natália Timerman, Paula Carvalho, and Giovana Madalosso.
